Newbie Developer: How do secure app for distribution?

Hi, I have a access 2003 app which I want to distribute; My questions
are:
1. How do I embed a license key / registration key to protect the
product?
2. Which is the best installer package (ease of use and value)?

Microsoft provides "Developer Extensions for Microsoft Access" that creates a
setup package to distribute your access applications, it runs for about $200,
to secure your code you may start by converting your db to the mde format and
then create the package for the mde, check the Developer Extensions page for

Thanks for the link. Yes I will have to buy the Access Developer
Extensions, However, they do not appear to address my issue, which is:
