You'll have to make sure the SATA controller is not disabled by the jumper on the motherboard. Then install the drivers for the SATA controller - check my FAQ in my sig... Ben

G Guest Dec 4, 2003 #3 Hi Ben, thanks for the reply, why shouldnt i use the newest drivers on the silicon website? do i need to update the serial ata bios? I have the asus 1007 bios installed on my version 2.0 deluxe...

I think they're .32, Asus have released the .40s, I've had no problems with with either and recommend both, but since I haven't heard of any problem related specifically to either of those drivers, I generally recommend the latest. do i need to update the serial ata bios? That includes 4.2.27 of the SATA firmware which is the latest available (if you know better, let me know) Ben
