Hi, I'm about to order the ATI AIW 9800 Pro, and I have a question or two
about the tv tuning side of things. Am I going to be able to easily switch
from viewing tv on my computer and back to watching it the normal way (on
the actual tv)? Am I going to have to by a splitter or something of that
nature? Also, I have hbo and showtime, and I have to use the cable box in
order to view the pay channels, so this means, no hbo on the computer
monitor wont it?

Told ya I was a newb :)

TIA

Best way is to get a splitter and send your source to the TV and PC from the
splitter. If your splitter is BEFORE the cable box then you wont get your
pay channels on the computer....but if your splitter is AFTER the cable box
then you cant use the computer to change channels.... depends on what is
best for you.

Personally, I keep my PC tuner off of the cable box so that I can record
shows on the built-in PVR while I watch something else on my TV.

Another option of course is to order another cable box.
