Just heard about this.....seems they have added a thing or two to their
lineup.

Cheers......Heather

Yeah, and I just tried it and it won't accept the new license key for
the antivirus part of the software. So far, there's not much new to
see. :-(

Well.....that's a bummer, isn't it!! I didn't bother downloading it because
I prefer to stay one or two versions back.....I hate being Zonelab's unpaid
'beta tester'....lol.

Actually it was me that was in beta test. They have a totally new
product that includes an AntiVirus program and the license key I got
works for that. Sorry for the confusion.

Myself and 2 friends downloaded this update, and our computers crashed.
Don't do it!! I'm running XP Home and Avast! AV, dunno know if there's an
issue there or not.

Thanks.

That just says that I'm still in beta testing. When I reach version
1.0, I'll be fully functional. :-)

I didn't have any problems at all. I uninstalled my McAfee AntiVirus,
installed ZoneAlarm and then re-installed the AV. Worked perfectly for
me. I have XP Pro. Maybe your problem has to do with Avast!

One of my friends uses AVG and it crashed her computer too! Surely we
shouldn't have to resort to messing with our AV software after an update?
All the others have worked fine. Think I'll wait for the alpha version :-)

If you click on this link to their website
http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/support/zass/zassMain.jsp & look at
the FAQ's question 9 it states
9. What happens if I'm running an antivirus product from another company?

If you are running an antivirus solution from another company, you must
un-install the antivirus product before running ZoneAlarm Security Suite's
antivirus feature.

You may elect to turn off ZoneAlarm Security Suite's antivirus feature, in
which case you may continue to run another antivirus solution without any
problems. In fact, ZoneAlarm Security Suite will help you monitor your
antivirus product to ensure it's up-to-date and your computer is safe.
ZoneAlarm Security Suite monitors antivirus solutions from Norton, McAfee,
Trend Micro, and Computer Associates.

It is important to note that running two antivirus products at the same time
frequently causes operational issues with computers. Zone Labs' strongly
advises you never to run two antivirus products at the same time.

I have ZoneAlarm Pro and NAV 2004.

I had no problems updating ZAPro. I did NOT uninstall NAV 2004.

If you have the Pro version it just "monitors" your antivirus software
to ensure it is up to date (not sure how). According to what I read,
it does NOT require you to uninstall any anti-virus software--at least
for the Pro version.

*ZoneAlarm Security Suite* vs. ZAP 5.
Big difference. The former does combine "firewall" and AV.
