Hi
I have a long-standing (18 months) home wireless network built around a
Linksys WP54G router. I've had three different computers running
either W2kPro or XPHome working happily with it, using a variety of PC
cards from Cisco to Linksys and Netgear. My wife just bought a new HP
laptop with Centrino wireless networking built in, and it can't seem to
hook up with the rest of the network - in fact it kicks all the
functioning machines off and I lose my internet connection (through
DSL) until I reset the router! I've also tried it with all the other
machines offline and still can't get through. I'm using WEP with a 26
character key, but when I try to configure the laptop's wireless it
doesn't even get to the point where I would normally enter the key. It
does see the network - the SSID appears in the list, but when I try to
connect it just sits there until it times out and gives an error
message saying that network conditions aren't allowing a connection,
despite the signal bars on the wireless display showing full power.
Help!
