Greetings --

Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of *any* Windows operating
system. They are, and always have been, separate applications, that
must be purchased and installed separately.

The way you asked the question made me think that possibly you have had
"Word" previously, possibly before you upgraded.
If so , and if you have the CDs with Microsoft Works/Word on them, then you
can use these to add Word to your computer. If you do not have the CDs ,
then you will need to buy them, or another similar product.

I just upgraded to XP Home. I cant find Word...do I have
it. If so how do I find it?

Word does NOT come with Windows, it never has. Sometimes it is bundled
with new PCs but not always. You can get Word with Microsoft Office or
the Works Suite from nearest PC dealer...

Peter,
You need to install 'Word' from 'Office XP' but you probably have it on one
of your other CD's that came with your computer. You need to install from
there. 'Word' is not part of Windows XP.

I trust that your post was directed to (e-mail address removed) and not to Peter. He repieled to (e-mail address removed). In other words, Peter was not the OP.

I REALLY NEED HELP IN FINDING POWERPOINT I HAVE WINDOWS XP I NEED IT FOR HOMEWORK

PowerPoint is an application that is separate from Windows. It is one of
the MS Office applications. Buy a version of Office that includes it or buy
it as a standalone application. Install and then you will have PowerPoint.

First of all, please unstick your CapsLock key. Posting in all
caps, as you have done, is the Usenet equivalent of shouting, and is
considered very rude. More importantly, posting in all caps makes the
post very hard to read, further reducing your chances of getting help.

1) Go to store/shop that sells computer software.

2) Purchase either Microsoft PowerPoint or a Microsoft Office suite
that contains PowerPoint.

3) Return home.

4) Insert installation CD in PC's CD drive and follow the on-screen
prompts and instructions to install application and desired additional
features.

Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of *any* Windows operating
