Just recently whenever I click on a folder it open the
contents in a new window. So that after I've gone from the
c drive, to my documents, to my pics, to aug 24 I have 4
windows open. How do I get this to not happen and instead
open the contents of each file in the original window??
Thanks for your help.

In an explorer window click on the tools menu and choose folder options...
In that window under browse folders click the radio button labeled "Open
each folder in the same window"

Oops, actually I'm running windows 98... So I don't have
the tools menu. Although I pulled up the folder options
under the view menu and didn't see any place to
specify 'open in same window'. Any suggestions on how to
fix the before mentioned problem on windows 98.
Thanks

With Windows 98 go to an explorer windows click on the "view" menu and
choose "folder options...". On the general tab choose "Settings..." and
then under "Browse folders as follows" click the radio button labeled "Open
each folder in the same window".
