New Windows XP upgrade - cursor problems

New hard drive installed on laptop. I installed XP upgrade
home edition (from Windows 98SE). I then installed Word
2000 (version is 3.5 years old). Now when using Word, the
cursor will randomly move about the page while I am typing
and the window sometimes minimizes.

This also happens when using my yahoo e-mail account.(Not
even using outlook, but straight from the website)

Is this a mouse driver issue? Or do I need to download
updates for word 2000?

Recommend you update the drivers for your mouse to be compatible with XP.
