Hi,
After sucessfully upgrading our PDC to a Win2k and Active Directory i am
looking at put more security onto the network.

I've put some policies into place in the Default Domain Policy, however the
Computer Policies do not appear to be applying to the machines. What's
happening?

On another note, most of the computers have successfully changed their
domain to the correct DNS based name but there are a few that are yet to do
this. This seems to be rectifying itself day to day as more begin to appear
in DNS. Is there a reason for this?

Thanks again for all of your past help.

This usually means a DNS problem.

Have you set up DNS for the AD domain? The AD DNS server should point to
itself for DNS, all AD clients should point to the AD DNS server only, the
AD DNS server should be set up to forward requests and your ISP's DNS server
listed as the forwarder.

On the machines that have not registered in DNS restart the netlogon
service.
