New VPN Connection defaults to dialup

When I try to create a VPN connection, Windows assign it
to a dial-up connection instead of the internal LAN
connection. I have tried to disable the modem in the
current config as well as uninstall the modem, but every
attempt to create the VPN connection defaults to dial-
up. Any ideas on how to get it to use the LAN/High Speed
Internet connection?

I have a customer that has the same problem on his WinXP Home SP1. Did you found a solution

Thank
