Haven't got a clue what the name of it is, but here's what
happened. when checking my emails as I seldom do due to a
lot of "emails" from "Microsoft" (the quotes denote
malicious emails not from MS) I encountered one with my
norton antivirus, that froze norton, then when I tried to
get to task manager to end the current process it stated
the there was no taskmanager image... after a reboot
system did nothing. then for whatever reason I saw it fit
to reformat my comp. the moral of the story, please
becarefull with what you download when checking emails. if
possible please go through a web email checker, because it
won't download the email directly and allow you to delete
it directly off the server. good luck and all safe web
browsing.

Greetings --

Not a new virus but you are right. You should never open any attachments.
Microsoft will never send you any emails in order for you to install or
download anything (unless you request them)

.
Viruses can also exe. themselves through html.e/mail
thats why it is critical to run a GOOD avp that is
updated often and scans incoming email
