Kaspersky, NOD32, F-prot, Symantec and panda do not show anything yet.
Looks like McAfee and F-Secure got ahead.

Wrong, Nod32 updated here at 17.32pm 26/01/04.

I like NOD32, but from their website:

NOD32 - v.1.609 (20040127)
Virus signature database updates:
Win32/Mydoom.A

But is that Aussie time???? Don't forget they are at least 12 hours
ahead of North America.....give or take a couple of hours.

And EZ Trust had the defs and a tool to fix it last night......didn't
check the time.

time as any to jump into this rather silly thread]

Who cares? Why do we have to go through this my dick is bigger than your
dick contest every time there's an outbreak?

Avery major anti-virus software developer had definitions available by
the time I went home last night (about 1:00 a.m. eastern GMT -5). I
don't care who was first or second or third or last. That's not the
problem (or the real issue for the matter). The real problem is getting
the usual suspects* to install the updates, patch their systems, and
stop blindly double-clicking every single thing the lands in front of
them.

*Usual suspects refers to all the clueless, careless, lazy, or
incompetent users and administrators who despite the the debacles of
Melissa, Nimda & Slammer still haven't bothered to take even the most
basic risk mitigation steps.

Oh good......coz you had me beat on that comparison, grin!!

And I fully agree with you.....who cares, as long as they download them
and use common sense. I have now whipped my genealogy list into shape
and no problems there. Education.......is the only answer. And the
truly clueless will never get that.

Cheers......Heather

My thoughts exactly - well, actually I didn't get much past
"Who cares!?".

Good rant.

Norton AntiVirus 2004 did not need to have any definitions to block this
worm due to its script blocking technology.
