I have a win 2003 server, and clients (workstations) run
Win 2000 pro. Until a few days ago all was well. Today
when I added a new user to the active domain, tha stranges
thisg happened. I was able to log in (and thereby build a
new profile) to the client machine. I was able to log back
out and log back into the profile. However, as soon as I
svaed a document in the profiles "my document" folder and
rebooted the computer, I was no longer able to log in as
this user! I replicated this behavior on a bunchof other
workstations, and every time if I had saved a documant
into the profile and rebooted, logging in was no longer
possible.
I deleted the user feom the active directory as well as
the Exchange mailbox. I built a new profile, and same
thing occured!
I get the same message as you would get if you made a
typing error in your username or password ( The system
could not log you on...etc)
I am able to log in users I have added previously with no
problem...
Cannot find this problem listed anywhere on the MS
Knowledgebase.
I would be most grateful for some expert advice!
