What ISP do you use to connect to the Internet.
Got to their web pages and check the Support sections. In there, they will
have help on what server settings to use for all email programs.

Hotmail is no longer supported in Windows Mail.

It is supported in Windows Live Mail desktop

It's all in the name of progress. :)
Bottom line is that if you don't like Vista you can stay with XP.

Outlook Express's ghost is still there. Windows Mail is based upon it's
code. Of course a lot of things were ripped out of it like Hotmail support
and Identities but the dx file corruption is a thing of the past, they
changed the message stores and that in itself has it's own quirks.

You just have to use Vista and get used to it. It takes some time.I remember
similar shouts o when XP came out..

My comment was tongue-in-cheek.
Sometimes you have to take the bad with the good.
Let's hope that Service Pack 1 will fix all the Vista problems.

Was that an intentional joke?

Not sure what you're getting at, Frank.
Which phrase of mine are you asking about whether it was a joke?

SP1 will probably fix a lot of bugs, but it will leave some and introduce
some new ones.

And then there are some design decisions considered by many to be bugs that
will not be fixed. Technically an unpopular design decision is not a bug.

Sorry for the delay, but I spent all day yesterday driving to Las Vegas. I
will spend all day tomorrow driving to Crescent City, CA.
