I have a problem with win2000 in that when I installed it
and it asked for a user name I put in a name that had a
space and it did not like that so I changed it right then
and it was ok at that point. Now when I turn the computer
on it comes up with that user name and and tells me that
it is incorrect. I can change to another user name in the
list and it is ok, but how can I fix this so it does not
come an error every time. Is then a place to go and delete
it out? Also where can I go to change the user name that
comes up automatically. I have looked and can not find the
place.

Thanks

You can run regedit.exe and navigate to;
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
edit the Reg_Sz string values
"DefaultUserName"
and
"DefaultPassword"
to reflect the correct username and password.
