New user with tons of questions

I like my windows xp but have a few questions. I have IE 6 with an Athalon
MD 2800. Learning comes fast with this.
When I start my computer I get a pop up screen with Lite Installer on it.
It states it has encountered an error. What is it?? Do I need it?? I have
a digital camera Kodak cx6330 installed. Hope someone out there can help.

We will deal with one problem at a time.
