new user not connecting to vpn

i currently have a vpn setup where about 4 - 5 users access it regularly. I
have created to new users in AD all are part of the same group as the
previous users but when they try to connecto to the VPN they receive the
following error:
error 691: access was denied because the username and/orpassword was
invalid on the domain.

Any ideas as to why these new users do not work?
