Hi All!

Somebody knows why when I create a user account in Active
Directory and I try to connect from the client (Win98), it
can't connect. Olders account and Administrator account
connect whithout problem in the same pc (Win98).

Any suggestions...

bye.

Got the error "username no exist" in the client, both pc´s
ase in the same net and with olrder´s account connect
without problems.

Sometimes the new account logon in the 4° or 5° time, but
the next logoff, get the error.

Both pc´s are in the same tcp/ip range and i try modified
the lmhost, try too rejoining the pc uin the domain, but
get the same error.

I don't know anything about your domain, how many dc's etc, but if multiple
verify that there are no replication issues and that the new account you
created has replicated to the others. I'f possible if it hasn't that the 98
box is being validated by a dc that doesn't know about the account.
Can you ping the DC by name?
Wasn't clear on your statement about "re-joining" the domain. Was this
being tried with the logon to domain and also not with logon to domain set,
and the domain and workgroup names are the same?
Not sure what you put in the lmhosts file, but try adding the 1B entry for
your pdc emulator dc, via the entries in the article below, and that you see
the correct registrations with the nbtstat;
