New User Access Date Format Question

Hi folks,

I'm new to access having used Dbase III forever until I was finally forced
to move up to Win XP.

Apologies in advance for the simple questions that will no doubt occur.

I'm using Access 2000 with Windows XP.

I can create tables with no problem and appear to be able to create
relationships.

Is it possible to design an input form where a date field can come up as
calender so the user can pick a date to enter with a mouse click?

It doesn't appear to be in the table design formatting.

Yes, you can create a form and place a calendar control on it.

You can click the wrench, hammer, and three dots icon at the bottom of the
toolbox (the Tooltip will read "More Controls") and Calendar Control should
be in that list.

Sounds to me like a few hours with a novice Access book such as "Microsoft
Access Step by Step" from Microsoft Press would be a good investment.

Larry thanks for the pointer.

Yes I have found the tool and it does display a calander exactly as I
wanted.

The next thing is to find out how to stoerr the selected date into a table.
