New to Word XP: "Table Grid" style?

Is there any way to keep Word from applying the "Table Grid" style (whatever
that is!) to everything in a table? Can't it just accept whatever I put in
there as whatever style it was before I dragged and dropped?

Choose Table Normal as your default AutoFormat.
