How can I "hide" the email address....i.e.: instead of suzie
([email protected]) in the To: or cc: space...I want to ONLY see suzie....
If I send an email to several people, even if I use a blind copy, everyone
can still see the first (to:) address.
I've been using outlook with xp, so this is new to me...I would appreciate
any help.
Thanks.

Surely no matter what you do the recipient
is always going to be able to see your email address?

I'd be very dubious towards any mail I received
that wouldn't let me see an address.

Hi, Cindy.

Julian's comment suggests a solution...

Address your email To: Cindy (to yourself, that is). Then use BCC to add
all the other addresses. They will all see YOU as the first addressee,
which might amuse them, but won't see anyone else's address. They know your
address already, of course.

Another solution would be to set up a dummy or gmail account
and use that as the primary address and CC/BCC to all the others.

Yet another way is to place a correctly formatted non-existant email address
in the TO: catagory, such as "(e-mail address removed)". This will bounce, but
all the addresses you place in CC or BCC will be deliveder.

Yes, that would work, but I'd still recommend that everyone get a Gmail
account. They're very useful, completely portable interms of
access from anywhere on the net via POP or the web,
and have an excellent spam blockers.

Gmail liberates you from a particular ISP.

There is NO need to put anyone in the "To" line. Microsoft will
automatically put "To undisclosed recipients" in the "To" line.
Also place all recipients into the "Bcc" line, that way no-one can see the
other Email addresses. If you don't have a "Bcc" line,
go to "View" in the new message and place a tick (left mouse click) against
"Show all headers". The Bcc line will now be seen
in all subsequent New Mail.
