-- Greetings to everyone.
Hope this is the right newsgroup for windows media player 9 series as I am
having problems I never had before and need your all's expert advice.Running
windows XP,SP1 with all the latest updates and security alerts . Have over a
Gig of Ram, and plenty of hardrive space , latest video and audio drivers,
and never had this problem before. The problem...just within the past two
weeks when playing either audio cd's (music) or while watching movies in
mpeg or .wma format there is a definite and irritating skip in windows media
player. The problem clears up after a time period of 3-5 seconds and either
the music cd or mpeg format will clear itself, but it is a definite
irritant. Any and all help would be appreciated.

This problem does not seem to exist in cd's (music .wav format) that i have
burned using Roxio CD burner. It also does not happen as much when using
store bought music cd's , but seems to be more prevalent when I for example
copy a cd using windows media player and add it to my playlist. So what I
guess I am trying to say is that it seems to only happen when i am not using
a cd itself, but mostly in windows media player library of saved music. ?

Thanks in advance
Respectfully

Hi, Gene. I wonder if we are having the same problem. See
my post, "Sound cuts out briefly," shortly after your
post. Regards.
