Hi Green,
PowerPoint, in its simplest form, is a 'presentation' software program. It
cab be used similar to a slideshow. But the more you become able to do, the
more it can help you.
A good place to get started would be:
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00121.htm
but there are hundreds of web-sites with tutorials aimed at people just like
yourself. There are books, like "PowerPoint for Dummies" or other "How to"
varieties available at your local bookstore or from Amazon.com
The next step will be to get access to a PowerPoint program and start to
play. The best teacher is experience. PowerPoint offers many templates to
help newer users create professional looking presentations. You will be
able to build your own sense of style and create better and more complex
presentation as you get a few presentations under your belt.
Have fun with it. Enjoy it. You already have learned the most important
resource: here. When ever you get stumped with something, post back, the
folks here will always offer help at whatever level you are at.
Welcome,
B
