New to Outlook

I really haven't used much of Outlook except for sending e-mail at work. I thought I'd set up the laptop at home. I used my yahoo account. Before I knew it, it syncronized(?)and of course, I let it do its thing. But the next time I opened my yahoo on a different computer, all my messages got moved. Which I'm guessing is what's supposed to happen. Thing is, I had all my messages organized in different folders (in yahoo). I just want to move all the messages back into yahoo so I can read them (old mail) when I'm using a different computer. Then set up outlook with a new account.
...please someone tell me there's a better way then forwarding each and every (or in bulk) my messages to another e-mail.

If you're using Windows XP, Yahoo has an excellent add-on sync program which
syncs contact and calendar...I don't recall if it also does mail but I'm
sure you can find it if you look around your Yahoo mail account. Just
remember, if you're using Vista, you're out of luck as they don't have a
Vista version yet.

That's the default behavior of most (all?) POP clients.

The only folder Outlook will download is the Inbox. It cannot see any other
folder on the server so I don't see how you could have had the messages
organized in different folders.

back into yahoo so I can read them (old mail) when I'm using a
different computer.

Without forwarding them to yourself (which will change the sender
information), there's no good way to do that. YOu could try forwarding them
to yourself as attachments and see if you can save the attachments to the
Yahoo folders, but I'm not sure Yahoo has the ability to save attachments to
its own folders.

Sure. Just configure your account to leave copies of downloaded messages on
the server. It's on the Advanced tab of the account properties.
