Hello,
I want to connect two PC's. One is running Windows 98 and the
other Windows 2000 Pro. I've looked through the help files and wizards
on Windows, but I still don't know what to do. Both computers have
working network cards and are connected to a linksys 5 port router,
but they cannot see eachother. I have no ideahow to configure the
machines to speak with eachother, and would appreciate any help.
Thanks!

Check a few things.
1) both PCs must be in the same workgroup
2) Win98 must have something shared to show up in Network Neighborhood/My
Network Places
3) both PCs must be running the same network Protocol. Win98 defaulted to
NetBIOS where Win2K is defaulted to TCP/IP.
4) Make both PCs run TCPIC and turn on NetBIOS over TCPIP.
