Hello. Well versed in digital cameras, slide shows, web development,
graphics - however totally new to Movies. Just purchased a Panasonic 1000x
MiniDV Camcorder 30x Opt Zoom, planning on making home movies to preserve
family memories. I've used Windows Movie Maker for a few slide shows and to
optimize video files for work but the rest is new to me.
My goal is to take my movies that I will be making with the mini dv cam and
make them into DVD's to share with family and friends. I realize that
Windows Movie Maker does not burn to DVD that I will need another prog for
this.
I am leaning towards going with something from ULEAD just because of
familiarity with many of their programs and they usually have a decent cost
factor with user friendly learning curves. I've been looking at their site
and am at a loss. I'm not sure I see the difference and what would be the
right program for what I am looking for. I see Ulead VideoStudio 9 and DVD
MovieFactory 4 Disc Creator. Any one familiar with the two and what the
difference is? Any recomendations between the two or for something
completely different? Kind of at a loss and getting intimidated now. Any
tutorial or starter sites, advisement, feedback would be greatly appreciated.
