Hi all,

I have an AVI already that I've edited with MM2. I just added a title and
an end. I need to resave the file again with the avi extension but when I
went to 'save as' from the file menu, it only gave the option of moviemaker
file extension. How do I save it again as avi?

Thanks,
Newtechie

To save as movie, use menu File -> "Save MOVIE As"
or press key Ctrl-P
or use the "Save to my computer" under "Finish Movie" step on the left
hand task bar.

In the Save Movie wizard, after the screen that allows you to select a
name for the saved movie, the next screen is "Movie Settings": Click on
"Show more options..." and you will have all the different options to
select. Select DV AVI from the drop down box.

Hi Rehan,

I got all the way to last step to save the file and it said "Cannot Complete
the Save Movie Wizard".
Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify
that the original source
files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is
still available, and that there is enough
free disk space available, and then try again.

First off, I'm saving the file in the 'My Videos' folder and the original
(unedited) file is also in that folder.
I have over 134 gb of free space left. What could be the problem?

Thanks,
Newtechie

Your not trying to save with the same filename and overwrite the original
are you?
That will not work because MM needs the original to do the rendering so you
need a different filename and you can delete the original after your done if
you want.

Hi Wojo,

No I'm not trying to save as the same name or overwrite the original file.
I've tried changing the name several times and still the wizard can not
complete.
