Help!

I've never used databases in Frontpage 2002 before.

I can't seem to set up a page wich will allow me to search
an access database and display the results - even when i
use the database wizard.

Can someone help a confused beginner??!!!

Thanks for that.

I've followed your intructions and now have a page with a
search box and a results area.

I've renamed the page with an asp extension as prompted,
but when I preview the page, the search doesn't work.....

What am I doing wrong??

Step 1 is to import your database into your FP web and
create a database connection:
http://www.spiderwebwoman.com/tutorials/create_dbc.htm
Step 2 is to create an .asp page to query the database:
Create a new page, Insert | Database Results - this will
invoke the Database Results Wizard which will walk you
through the process.

You need to have it uploaded to a web server that supports asp. Depending on
your OS you maybe able to test locally. Windows XP Pro - install IIS and
create a FP web there. 98 install PWS and you can test there. With XP Home
or ME you are out of luck.

If you don't have a web server on your local machine upload the files to
your web host and test it there. Note FP databases only work on Windows web
servers.
