New textbox placed a page made two existing text boxes dissappear

While re-formatting my Home page I placed a new text box on the page,
formatted it as absolute, and two other text boxes on the page disappeared
(they were not absolute). Were they "pushed" elsewhere or are they gone for
good?
 
I found one of the boxes on the other side of the page. The other is nowhere.
I'm thinking I deleted it by accident.
