Hi Guys,

I think I'm actually going to go for:

Asus A7N8X Deluxe Rev2
Barton 2500+
Coolermaster Aero7+
Sapphire Atlantis 9800 Pro

But am still wondering what the best offer is on memory...

My baseline is:
Corsair XMS3200LL

But wanted to save some money, so wondered if anybody knew if there was any
memory that was as good, but cheaper. £200 (inc. VAT) would be ideal. I'm
in the UK and will probably be using Tekheads for most of the components.
I've been thinking about Mushkin, OCZ, Geil and Twinmos, but am not sure of
suppliers - certainly not cheap ones.

Cheers,

Ben

Have you considered the 9800 non-Pro? It's the same card just clocked
down a bit, and in America it's nearly 1/3 cheaper. Memory isn't the
place to try an save a few dollars, I'd stick with Mushkin or Corsair.

OK, so the non pro is 325/290 whilst the pro is 380/340. The difference in
price is 30%, difference in performance is 17%. How much can you overclock
the non-pro? Does it have the same or slower RAM chips? I assume the core
is the same.

Gave up on trying to save money at the expense of components :-)

Decided to go for:

Asus A7N8X Deluxe Rev2
Corair TwinX1024 XMS3200LL
Barton 2500+ (Will run at 200MHz*11 or so)
Coolermaster Aero7+ (with ASIII)
Crucial 9800 Pro
WD Raptor SATA

Cheers,

Ben
