New Spybot Update

The update is for beta only. If you switch to Advanced mode-Settings,
and check the box for Show beta updates you can get it.

I used the US mirror, no problem.

Very curious: Spybot hadn't found anything on my XP system in ages -
I'd been guessing that my downloaded Hosts file must cover the same
ground (Ad-Aware uses a different type of search, almost always finds
some tag-alongs). Today with the new beta download, Spybot is showing
a bunch of PeopleonPage entries and a CoolWWWSearch.

My Spybot stopped finding updates about a month ago, after working fine
for a long time.

How to find, install the updates manually?

Any idea why update no longer works in Spybot?

Having read the OT, I've updated now and the file downladed has the date
2004-01-16.
Checking again for updates, it says "no updates available".

???

Geez, CoolWWWSearch is a real pain in the @ss to remove. Glad it has
grabbed Spybot's attention.

There was apparently a bug in the latest beta release. To be fixed
shortly per this snap from Spybot S&D forums.
