New Sound Card: Audigy or Santa Cruz?

| It's time to retire my SB Live Value...so which card should I get?
| Creative Audigy or Turte Beach Santa Cruz? Newegg is offering the
| Santa Cruz for 40 bucks right now....Audigy is 60ish.

I have a TB Santa Cruz and it's great. Creative's cards are excellent, but
their drivers past the initial edition suck! The TB crowd knows how to write
code for their products!

I don't like Creative cards just for that reason. I have two of the TB Santa
Cruz cards and I really like them a lot but I'm not a gamer. I have read some
complaints from folks that they don't do well with some of the newer games but
then again, this could be user related. Has anyone tried the beta drivers?

However I am concerned that the SC is the same card that TB has been selling for
about 3 years now. Isn't it about time for a new version? Perhaps that is why
the price is dropping at Newegg.

Yup...this is the same HW that TB has been selling for nearly 3
years...and that's why I'm thinking about getting an Audigy 2...just
need an extra 30 bucks for one compared to getting a Santa Cruz.
