I have the problem in that I can not find a way to uninstall the soft ware
supplied with the new computer..
I have loaded my old micro soft office 2000 pro but can't seem to kill the
stuff which was supplied with the new laptop.. It is continuing to interupt
operations ie printing with offers to sell me the new version..Uninstall
flags a warning that says you can uninstall till you have installed the
program.. thats logical but I won't be uying the new version just to kill
it.
any suggestions other than the 3 LB sledge. LOL

I gather you're referring to third party software that was bundled
with your computer?

I'd contact the manufacturer's tech support about it.

I'm assuming that you have a key for Vista. I would download the vista
dvd via bit torrent, using utorrent or similar. Format the hard drive,
and install vista with your valid key. Install your software. No more
OEM crap software/adware on your machine. I believe this should be OK,
as you have an OEM licence for this PC, so you should be able to
activate without too much drama. If you get the error that your key is
already in use, just do it by phone, and explain that it is a clean install.

Regards,

Tom

I'd not be surprised if OEM keys don't work with the retail versions.
S/he would need to download an OEM version of Vista vs the retail.

No, disks are all the same - have all versions. Only key varies.
