Hi,

Most of our servers did not patch to Win2k SP4 because when we tried to
patch SP4 on our test servers, it gives an error,

"Unable to write ScriptMaps metabase entry"
"Failed to execute regsvr32.exe. Error Code 5."

As there are new patches coming out from MS after SP4, can I update post-SP4
patches on a server that is not patch with SP4 yet?

Thank you.

Some yes, some no.Windows Update is the easiest way to tell.

BTW, if your running IIS on your test servers, shut down all web services
then install SP4.
That should stop the error on install.

I have tried that and have even deleted .htr, .htw, .idq and .ida mappings.
All these does not help. Just hope MS will quickly release a KB on this.
