I have a one year old Samsung SCX-4100 multifunction laser printer.

I recently purchased two new Samsung SCX-4100D3 toner catridges. Both
of them leave a thin horizontal white line (i.e. no toner) every 4
inches down the page. Ths is evident when printing pictures. I put the
old toner back, and no lines.

This happens when printing or copying. The clean drum function help.

I don't see any defects on the green drum, but I haven't tried to
rotate it to look at the entire surface.

Has Samsung produced a bad batch of toner Cartridges?

Thanks,
Keith

It is unlikely that you will see a defect on the drums but it sounds to me like
you have a claim on Samsung.
Give it a go.
