new s video cord.. NO PICTURE ON TV??

went to get an s video cord, obviously its hooked up correctly. but i can not
seem to find where on my tv i can find the video im playing on my comp.
whats going on? is there anyhting i need to download, any install wizards
etc??
 
Does your TV require you to select the input port? The problem may be fixed
by selecting the AV or some such named input.
