I had to change my router IP from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1.
Now I can't log in with my wireless laptop anymore.

Any helpful hint how to change the IP. The wireless assitant says it is
connected, but the IE isnt't working and I can't see the other cmputers. The
ping isn't working either.

It was working properly before...

Thanks in advance

Joe

Disable the wireless network connection, then enable it. With the
usual "Obtain an IP address automatically" setting on the wireless
connection, that will release the old IP address and get a new one.

If that doesn't work, check the wireless network connection's TCP/IP
properties and see if it's configured with a static IP address. If it
is, change the TCP/IP settings to be compatible with the router's new
address.

thanks to your answer....I now discovered the the problem: it is not working
with WEP, although the old and the new router are somehow the same product,
only different versions, somehow strange...

anyhow, thank you very much.

You're welcome. I'm glad that you figured it out. I didn't know that
you had a new router or that anything had changed except the router's
IP address.
