Ok here goes. I have recently acquired a us robotics
100mb/s wireless router/ access point with 4 port switch
inbuilt. I have 1 wireless laptop and 3 pc's connected to
the ethernet ports. It all works fine, they all connect
to the internet simultaneously no probs. MY QUESTION
IS!!!! How do I create a network between them. I was
gonna use xp's own network setup wizard. All systems use
xp pro. Is bridging them the way to go. I wanna be
secure. WHAT DO I DO AND HOW DO I DO IT? ANY HELP
APPRECIATED!!!

Paul,

If you have all four computers connected, and all successfully able to
use the internet, you have half the work done already. Cabling is
done, and TCP/IP is working.

You don't need the setup wizard. IMHO, all that thing does is confuse
the inexperienced. If you had enough experience to connect to the
internet, you can do the intranet bit yourself.

Put all the computers in the same workgroup (System Properties -
Computer Name).

Make sure that all computers have File And Printer Sharing For
Microsoft Networks installed (Network Connections - your connection in
use - Properties).

Setup authorisation (account / password) on each computer. If you
want to access a folder on another computer, you have to be logged in
to your computer (authorised) under an account / password that is
identical to one setup on the computer you want to access.

Setup shares - folders and printers - as required. Then map to those
shares.

Cheers,

Chuck
