New Remote Desktop Issue

I've been using Remote Desktop with no problems since I've
owned XP Pro. Just the last 2 days, I've noticed a new issue.

The session is immediately logged off as soon as it logs on.

You'll hear the sound played of logon, slight pause while
you'd expect to be loaded, then you hear the log off sound
and you're immediately logged off, never seeing the desktop.

However, if I log on to the system first, then walk over to
the 2nd machine and use RD to connect, it will work, but
ONLY to the account I manually logged onto. If I try to
log on as a different user, I'll receive the same symptoms
as above.

So in essence, in the past 2 days I've lost the ability to
create a new desktop session remotely, it must be initiated
locally first.

This has happened on both XP systems I own after I loaded
the latest security patches via windows update. Any thoughts?

This sounds like NiVidia driver problem, look under this newsgroup with subject of "remote desktop connection logs off immidiatly after log on", work around is to downgrade the driver.
