Hi all: Had to change my mobo, so I did new install of xp home, and now I
can't see my d drive. If I go to the hardware mgr it see's it but when you go
to my computer it's not listed. Is there anyway to get xp to access the
harddrive? Or do I have to loose all the data I have on it?

Have you tried Disk Manager? Administrative Tools /Computer Manager/Disk
Management and see if it accessed there? See what the Status is and
troubleshoot if needed.

Does it list that hard drive as you boot up? If it's not listing it, the
problem isn't in XP. Open the case and make sure that all the cables are
hooked up correctly and fully seated at the hard drive end and the
motherboard end. If the hard drive is not listed during boot up and
everything is hooked up properly, your problem may be in your CMOS settings
(accessible from bootup--you'll usually see a message towards the lower part
of the screen while your computer is counting up its memory telling you what
key to use--mine uses the "delete" key--to access setup/settings).
