New Programs Installed

I keep getting the "New Programs Installed" window when I put the
cursor on Start - Programs. In the past, this window only came up the
first time Start - Programs was accessed after a new program was
installed. Now it comes up every time. How can I stop this irritation?

No one has had this problem? Or a solution? Maybe the question/problem
wasn't explained very well.

When you install a new program this pop up window appears the next
time you click on "Start". It says "New Program Installed" and the new
program is highlighted in the menu. But for some reason, on my system,
the little pop up window comes up every time I click "Start".

Does the new app highlighting disappear for an application if you run the
app?

You can turn off the new application highlighting by doing the following new
steps:

1.) right-click on Start button select Properties from the menu
2.) click on the "Customize..." button
3.) on the Advanced tab, uncheck the "Highlight newly installed programs"
4.) click "OK" on the "Customize Start Menu" dialog
5.) click "OK" on the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" dialog
