I am having difficulty launching an application (Sony
PlayOnline Viewer) that has been working fine since
installation 5-6 weeks ago.
The problem arose after I installed a new program (Emagic
Logic Audio). Now when I go to launch the effected
program I get one of the two following errors
1) a message window stating that "the instruction
at "#x####X###" referenced the memory at "#y####y###" and
could not be written"
2) a "Sorry, this application has encountered a problem
and needs to close" window with an option to send an error
report or not.
I have tried, in this order:
- uninstalling the new program
- Sytem Restore to time just prior to new program install
- uninstall/reinstall of the effected program and its
associated programs
- defragging the hard drive
None of these attempts have changed the situation or the
type of error message received.
Anyone out there have a clue what my next step should be?
