New product installed notification

whenever I use the start button there is a notification
that there is a new program installed. I have not
intalled a new program in months. I have selected this
notification, implying "YES DEAR". I like the way it used
to let me know once for each program. How do I stop the
nagging?
 
Hi Robert,

Right-click the taskbar, choose properties. On the start menu tab click
customize. Go to the advacned tab and uncheck the option to highlight newly
installed programs.

That's funny! I'm just the reverse of this! I KNOW rocket science. It's
WINDOWS that drives me nuts! :-)))
