I just bought a new Canon iP4300 photo printer. I am ready to install the
software and driver. But it says "Before installing the driver, disable all
anti-virus programs (I know how to do that part) and automatically loading
programs" That is the part I don't know how or what to do? Can someone help
me out here. Thanks

I'm thinking if you disconnect from the net,
disable your virus scanner, close any programs
that are currently running and create a system
restore point you will be ready to do the install.
(I perform these steps on every install of new
programs or updates)

You could use the System Configuration Utility
'Msconfig' to disable all startup programs but
I'm thinking that would not be required.

The following article explains how to do a clean
boot if you find that it's necessary.
