new printer

Hi All My canon 6100 has reached the end of its life its givng 6 beeps wich
means I think the print head is knacked I could replace the head but iv had
the printer about 6 year so thinking of replacing it but with what I ask. I
print alot of text and a few digi pics from my fuji mx-1700 now and then. My
budget is about £150 has any body any suggestions.

What you need to do is to purchase a printhead for that printer. They
are consumable items which means user replaceable. You should replace
the one that you use the most. BC-30e for black (comes with an ink
tank) and BC-31e for color.

It could be the waste ink tank that is full, but you would be wise to buy
the new Canon i865 or the i860 depends where you live! you can get one for
about £140 it's a really good printer for the price, and the quality of the
photo's are out of this world...
