Hi,
We have an exchange 2000 server, and all clients use Microsoft Outlook 2003.
Some users access the system through pop3, but keeping emails they download
on the server. I am trying to create a new pop3 profile for one user, after
archiving his old e-mails to a .pst file. However, when the user connects to
the server through pop3, all the e-mails kept on the server, are downloaded
to his machine. I do not want that.

Is there a way to stop downloading or control by date received what emails
are downloaded when a user accesses the server using a new pop3 profile ?

Thanks

A POP client will download everything in the Inbox, if it believes it is
new. It will (or is supposed to) remember it has downloaded the data if it
can successfully perform the entire download once and thereafter only
download the new items.

I think you'd be better off accessing your Exchange server via IMAP, if you
can't use an Exchange account and access it properly.
