Hi,

I have just downloaded the new PCprobe II v 10043 but when I try to install
it I get an error message (red cross) saying that this version does not
support my mb. I took a look the manual and the requirements are just an
acpi asus MB and win 2k/xp/2003.

Any idea ?

Thanks

Hi SL,

Maybe you're lucky! I just downloaded this, it installed fine
(P5AD2E-Premium), but as soon as I start it up, it causes a BSOD (8E,
Kernel_mode_Exception_not_Handled), citing ASIO.sys. Haven't tried to sort
this out yet (may well be incompatibility with AI_Booster), but looking at
the manual, it doesn't seem to have a history function. That's what I found
best about the original PCProbe; unfortunately, I can only run this for a
relatively short time, as after an hour or two, it has grabbed all the
GDI_Handles, and results in "canvas does not allow redrawing" pop-ups.
Pity - I'd hoped maybe Asus had finally sorted this out, but it doesn't look
like it.
Regards,
Steve.

I believe that asus has a big problem with software development. I had the
same kind of problems with AIbooster. It is a pitty to see that third party
utilities (speedfan,...) work far better then their own software !!

it seems that after several revisions, not all winbond chips may be
supported. Therefore, you will eventually have to stick with the last
versino that was compatible with your motherboard...It's too bad Asus
isn't more specific with details on their software updates.
