new pc hanging like a flower basket!

I ve just bought a new pc amd 64 3500 (939)
1 gig ram
300gb sata
nvidia fx5700le
xp home os

Just hangs every few minutes in all sorts of programs particularly if idle.
So pissed off, of course tec support dont seem to answer any emails!

Stop payment on the computer payment.

Then see which one hangs longer.
