New pc cant find the serveur dncp

i can ping for the client the serveur. but when i try to get the new computer on to the domain it can not find the domain. he ask a user name and password but then i do it does not find the domain. but when i enter in the wrong password it said that it is a wrong passzord enter in. so it communicates with the domain but does not find the domain. please help

The two usual causes of this are you are using the wrong DNS server on the
client, or you have a single-label domain name.
All clients and server in an AD Domain must use the local DNS server that
hosts the AD domain zone (usually the DC).

On Win2kSP4 and later, WinXP and Win2k3 cannot locate a DC in a single-label
domain and cannot register in a Single-label domain.
