My Win2k PC downloaded the new patches, Wednesday evening. Before leaving
for work that night, I rebooted it. I, as an idiot, did not get the KB names
from the patcher. Once I got home in the morning, it would not get on the
internet. My set up is this:
2 PC's, 1 switch, and a DSL Modem. The PC with the connection software for
the DSL is WinXP Pro. The connection is shared. The XP machine can get on
fine. It was on before running like a champ (obviously, since it got the
patches).
I uninstalled what I thought were the 2 latest patches it received, but I'm
not sure if they are or not. Is there a listing of patches and release dates
somewhere?
I reran network sharing on the XP PC as well. I ran through the connection
wizard on the Win2k to tell it it's on a LAN. It has an IP address
(192.168.xx.xx) and the lights on the switch are lit up as well as on the
NIC.
Any help would be appreciated.
